review Bank Holidays were made for partying and Brighton revellers understand this very, very well. Wild Fruit this month was always going to be packed. Not only did it turn out to be a Bank Holiday of the sunny variety (I felt for the poor sods who'd braved the stop-stop London Road traffic to drive down for the weekend) and not only was it a Sunday night Wild Fruit with no work the next day, but DJ Norman Cook was down to play in the main room.People had been queueing outside the club since 8ish, a good two hours before the doors were open... and if they hadn't got a ticket they were right to do so. We're still to get all the facts and figures, but on the night the news was that hundreds had to be turned away. Which was a shame for them, but, obviously, a relief for those already inside. Not so packed that you couldn't breathe, but so packed that it wasn't even worth turning around everytime someone grabbed your arse (who did that... oh never mind...), the party was in full swing by 10:30pm. It wasn't hard to find plenty of happy faces to point a camera at...
