real city network news 10,000 photos! What a Pride!Tuesday, 8 August 2006 The REALBrighton offices are now a hive of activity as we thumb through almost 10,000 photos of the big weekend's events! As you can imagine, it is somewhat of an arduous and fairly time-consuming task trying to pick the best of the photos to share with you. A few shots will, unfortunately, have to hit the cutting room floor, although we'll do our best to ensure that everyone who stood and smiled sweetly at one of our photographers gets their deserved spot on the site of course! As you go through the photos you may notice little boxes telling you that a photo has been loaned to Pride for the forthcoming "Pride in Pictures" souvenir guide. Some of these photos will reappear at the end of this week as Pride makes their final selection for the guide and releases unwanted shots, but the rest are on temporary loan until after publication. Don't forget that you can enter your own photos into our 'Carry On Smiling' galleries... click on the 'carry on smiling' button on the right of the homepage to see how to take part. We've already had some lovely entries and will be putting up the galleries very soon. Quick update! If you're still searching for that photo and can't see it up there yet then don't panic! We've still got plenty more stories to make live. We've been getting most of the major stories up first, but will be posting more stories well into next week!
...and to those of you who've written in asking us to look for a particular picture for you... er... I'm afraid we're a bit up to our eyeballs at the moment so I hope you'll forgive us if we ask you to look for it yourself once all the photos are live!
